TRACK APPEAL

I think most of you are aware the Museum is directed and run by Volunteers and the Covid pandemic has made a substantial impact on our ability to earn funds at open days. As the museum is still being developed, we were unable to qualify for the grant aid given to the heritage sector. In spite of this the Trustees have managed to fund the following works:-
- Shot blasting of the underpass bridge and coating with a high solid epoxy resin. Laying of track across it.
- Delivery of brake van from the west Midlands to the Museum
- Completion of the signal cabin roof
- Applied for a grant of £50,000 for the erection of a workshop on the old goods shed footprint to enable restoration of rolling stock in all weathers.
It is in the latter connection we need your help. The Strathspey Railway have offered to sell us sufficient 95lb Bullhead Rail to lay track within the workshop and to the sidings connecting it to the running line at a cost of £5000.
Any contribution you are able to make however small would be much appreciated. Please either use the link below or donate via our website. In the comments box please enter Track Appeal
